Megafon to expand LTE to 74 regions this year
Russian mobile operator Megafon plans to offer LTE services in 74 regions across the country by the end of the year, reports Telecompaper.com.
LTE is now available in 53 regions. Megafon started providing LTE services two years ago. The operator sells 65 models of LTE-supported end-user devices at its branded shops. Megafon has introduced its new 4G+ brand, which will be used for LTE and LTE Advanced services. The operator currently runs its network over the LTE Advanced technology in the city of Moscow, with speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
