French phone-maker Wiko is providing its Wax smartphone, in France, its first LTE-compatible handset, reports Telecompaper.com, citing Les Echos, and explaining that the Wiko Wax is Europe’s first smartphone with the Nvidia Tegra 4i processor. Until now Wiko\'s products have used Mediatek processors, with the company only selling 3G-compatible products.

The Wiko Wax runs Android 4.3, with a 4.7-in HD (1,280 x 720 pixels) Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen, a quad-core 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4i processor, 8 megapixel back camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 4-GB of memory, 1-GB of RAM, a Micro SD 32 GB slot, and Bluetooth 4.0.

It is available from Auchan and Cdiscount and will soon be found at Darty, Boulanger and other retailers, for €199 ($277).
