Vodafone UK and Huawei have announced a successful 4G trial using small cell technology on 2.6Ghz spectrum, Telecompaper.com reports.

The service uses Huawei\'s \'LampSite\' “LampSite” LTE 2.6 technology and was deployed at Huawei\'s UK headquarters, giving employees and visitors 4G data speeds of up to 82 Mbps downlink and 42 Mbps uplink.

Huawei will continue to develop the technology with plans for Vodafone UK to offer the Lampsite technology to its medium and large business customers at a later date.
