Marvell, a producer of storage, communications and consumer semiconductor products, today announced that its Armada Mobile PXA1088LTE (also known as PXA1920) and PXA1801 have completed the Verizon Wireless Chipset Certification Process for 4G LTE data devices. The five-mode Armada Mobile PXA1088LTE single-chip System-on-Chip (SoC) and PXA1801 modem have been verified and now are acceptable for use on Verizon\'s 4G LTE networks, Fiercewireless.com reports, noting that both chipsets currently are shipping globally.

Earlier this year, the Marvell PXA1088LTE received the 2014 Global TD-LTE Initiative\'s (GTI) Innovation Award from global mobile operators and partners. As a part of the Marvell Armada Mobile product family, the PXA1088LTE is designed to support the highest levels of performance available in the industry today with Category 4 speed. The Armada Mobile PXA1801 modem\'s flexible and efficient architecture is designed to allow for fast implementation on the latest LTE protocols.
