VipNet Cote d’Ivoire plans TD-LTE launch this year
Cote d’Ivoire Internet service provider (ISP) VipNet has announced plans to deploy a 4G wireless broadband network based on Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) technology by the end of this year, Telegeography.com reports, quoting Agence Ecofin.
The operator currently provides ADSL fixed broadband access plus WiMAX-based wireless Internet services. Last month, rival ISP YooMee started its own TD-LTE offering in the capital Abidjan.
