Vodafone Qatar is set to provide 4G network services, starting June 3, Thepeninsulaqatar.com reports, quoting Kyle Whitehill, CEO of the company, who spoke at a press conference, on Tuesday. The telecom major also announced that its board of directors has recommended a dividend of 17 dirhams (QR0.17) per share for its 38,000 shareholders, which is subject to approval by the company’s annual general meeting, on June 18.

Whitehill went on to say, “We’ve seen a massive improvement in our 2G and 3G services and are going to launch our 4G services from June 3,” then adding that, as a result of better services, the company has seen a significant 22 percent increase in the customer base, year-on-year, to more than 1.32 million. The company also reported a remarkable 30 percent growth in revenues to QR1.98 billion ($543.87 million) by March 31.
