Samsung announces 4 low-end Galaxy phones running Kit Kat
Samsung has announced four new Galaxy smartphones running Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) and featuring the company\'s simplified TouchWiz Essence interface, the Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Star 2, reports Telecompaper.com. The phonemaker describes them as "affordable" without giving any details on pricing or availability.
The Galaxy Core II is an HSPA smartphone featuring a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 4.5-inch display, 5 megapixel camera and dual-Sim. The 4-inch Galaxy Ace 4 comes in HSPA+ and LTE versions, with 1.2 and 1 GHz dual-core processors, respectively. The phone has a 5 MP camera and 1 GB or 512 MB of RAM, depending on the version, with 4 GB of internal memory.
The Galaxy Young 2 is an HSPA+ handset with a 3.5-inch HGVA TF display and a 3 MP camera. It is built around a single-core 1 GHz processor, has a dual Sim-card slot and comes in white or charcoal. The Galaxy Star 2 has a 3.5-in HGVA TFT display, single-core 1 GHz processor and a 2 MP camera.
