Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has introduced Carrier Aggregation technology on its LTE network in the Moscow region, Telecompaper.com reported on July 31, 2014. The technology uses the 800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands to boost bandwidth available and raise the maximum broadband speed by 50 percent. The operator tested the technology using smartphones from Samsung.
