LitePoint, a provider of wireless test services, has announced that TCL Communication Technology, the maker of Alcatel brand phones, has started volume production of the new Alcatel branded POP S7 smartphone, reported Telecompaper.com on Aug 6, 2014. The POP S7 smartphone includes the MediaTek LTE chipset dubbed “MT6290.” The POP S7 is being verified and calibrated with the LitePoint IQxstream cellular test system.
