Telenor Denmark is offering iPhones and Samsung Galaxy smartphones at discounts of 800 krone to 2,000 krone to customers signing up for its Fri + Familie service, which it brought out in April. The Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE is available for 49 krone per month over 24 months, the Galaxy S4 for 79 krone and the S5 for 125 krone, according to Telecompaper.com on Aug 20, 2014. The Apple iPhone 4S 8GB costs 59 krone a month over two years for new Fri+ Familie subscribers, the 5C 8GB costs 99 krone and the 5S 16GB costs 169 krone.

Fri+ Familie cuts 50 krone off the monthly bill when a second member is added to the family subscription, with a 100 krone discount when the third and fourth members join. Telenor Denmark said this means that a family of four can save 3,000 krone per year on their mobile telecommunications bills if they are all on the Fri + Familie tariff. The tariff provides unlimited talk time, unlimited SMS and MMS, and either 1 GB, 5 GB or 20 GB of data.
