TIM\'s deployment of its “Ultra Internet 4G” service throughout Italy continues as Telecom Italia\'s mobile unit announced an expansion of the network to a total of 15 municipalities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, up from the eight announced in February, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 20, 2014. The service offers speeds of up to 100 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. TIM\'s LTE network currently covers over 65 percent of the Italian population, a figure the operator is looking to increase to over 80 percent by the end of 2016.
