Argentine operators Claro, Personal, Movistar, Nextel and media holding Grupo Uno have already acquired the tender documents to participate in an auction to obtain 4G LTE spectrum, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 21, 2014. Interested firms have until 17 September to buy the rights to bid for USD 24,000. The Argentine government expects to award 4G spectrum on 31 October, and plans to award 90MHz of spectrum in the 700MHz band as well as another 90MHz in AWS (1.7-2.1GHz). The government also expects to award additional 3G spectrum in both the 850MHz and 1,900MHz bands. The country\'s current mobile operators are Claro, Personal and Movistar.
