Osnova tests LTE-A
Osnova Telecom (also known as Base Telecom) has successfully demonstrated Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) technology in its Moscow laboratory, Telegeography.com reported on Aug 21, 2014. The test, which used Huawei Technologies equipment, achieved maximum download speeds of up to 226.1Mbps using carrier aggregation (CA). Although Osnova has rolled out a standard LTE network in 19 Russian cities, its commercial launch remains pending, with regulatory red-tape hampering its efforts to date.
