Colombian telecoms operator Avantel expects to reach 1 million 4G subscribers in one year, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 21, 2014. The operator also expects to provide 4G LTE services in 60 cities across the country by mid-2015. On 20 August, the telecoms operator launched LTE services in 22 cities across the country, with a total investment of USD 250 million. The operator, which focuses on the corporate segment, offers 4G LTE services through spectrum in the AWS band.
