Telstra has added Sydney and Adelaide to the list of locations where it\'s putting its 4G services on the 700 HZ spectrum to the test, after gaining early access to the spectrum for commercial trials, theaustralian.com.au reported on Aug 26.

The trials, scheduled to start mid-September, will take Telstra’s list of trial cities to eight, with commercial services already being tested in Perth, Fremantle, Esperance, Mildura, Mt Isa and Griffith.

Customers using compatible devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, HTC One (M8) and HTC Desire 610, in these trial locations will be able to utilize the fastest mobile data speeds in Australia.

A wider roll out of the services is expected to pick up pace next year as the 700 MHZ band becomes more widely available in January.
