The Azerbaijan Ministry of ITC has issued a license for LTE services for regional operator Naxtel, working in the Nakhichevan republic, reported Telecompaper.com on Sept 3, 2014. Naxtel currently provides services over CDMA on the 800-900 MHz band. It will provide LTE services using national roaming at an initial stage and will decide if it wants a national license for LTE services at a later date.
