Following launches in Spain and Mexico, Spanish telecoms group Telefonica has launched pre-paid sub-brand Tuenti Movil in Peru, targeting the youth segment, reported Telegeography.com on Oct 7, 2014. The service uses Movistar’s network and provides unlimited access to WhatsApp and SMS on all of its plans, whilst a Tuenti Mobil app also integrates social networking functions such as photo sharing. Tuenti offers three tariffs: Combo 5 costs PEN5 ($1.69), includes 80MB of data, and ten minutes of calls and is valid for five days; Combo 10 (PEN10) is valid for ten days and features 180MB of downloads and 25 minutes of calls; and Combo 15 (PEN15) has 300MB data cap, includes 40 minutes of calls and is valid for 15 days.
