Pakistani mobile operator Warid Telecom has selected Ericsson as its technology partner in the roll-out of 4G LTE in Pakistan, reports Telecompaper.com on Oct 13, 2014. Warid will use Ericsson\'s technology to shift from 2G to 4G LTE technology directly. Warid Telecom has already started an internal trial to test the network capacity and service reliability. Public trials will then be announced by the company along with a program for 4G LTE-enabled devices. Warid has already started delivering free 4G LTE SIMs to its customers who have 4G LTE enabled handsets.
