Slovak Telekom has expressed its satisfaction with the results of the LTE auction. The price it will pay for the auctioned spectrum, namely 2 x 10 MHz in the 800 MHz band, 2 x 40 MHz in the 2600 MHz FDD band and 50 MHz in the 2600 MHz TDD band, is EUR 60.846 million. New frequencies will help the operator to keep its technology leadership. Slovak Telekom launched LTE commercially in November 2013 on the 1800 MHz band. Now the operator provides 4G coverage to 23.7 percent of the population in 31 locations.
