Ericsson, the Swedish multinational provider of communications technology and services, has announced its plans for the Mobile World Congress later this month in Barcelona, focusing on demonstrating its growth areas such as TV, enterprise mobility and mobile broadband enhancements, Telecompaper reports Wednesday.

The new products will include Networks Software 14B, or what it calls the first "network-wide software launch". The software upgrade offers operators over 200 new features for use with network equipment from all major vendors. These include three-carrier LTE aggregation for speeds up to 450 Mbps, LTE Uplink Coordinated Multi Point to provide twice the app coverage for devices, and Ericsson-unique features for WCDMA, such as Dynamic Power Sharing. The software will be released later this year.

At MWC, Ericsson will also show the new Ericsson Network Manager to enable management of hybrid networks, ranging from multi-standard radio, small cell and integrated Wi-Fi in indoor environments, TDM, evolved IP networks, virtual network infrastructures and SDN. Building on its Radio Dot System launched last year for improved indoor mobile coverage, Ericsson is unveiling at MWC Ericsson Mobile Unified Communication, an IMS-based platform for extending enterprise communications over the mobile network. Expected to launch in Q3, the Mobile UC system will support access to corporate voice and videoconferencing systems, corporate directory and presence features, and customer support systems all from an employee\'s mobile phone.
