Russian mobile operator Megafon expanded its LTE network coverage in the Novosibirsk region, in 2013, by 25 percent, with LTE services available to 100,000 more people in the region, Telecompaper reported on Thursday.

Network capacity was also increased in the city of Novosibirsk, with the network also covering Berdsk, Iskitim and Ob, as well as Koltsovo, Kransoobsk, Sadoviy, Agropoles, Elitniy, Mochishche, Krivodanovka, Verkh-Tula, Baryshevo, Yarkovo and Kochenevo. Novosibirsk was the first Russian city to start LTE services, two years ago.
