Yoigo expands LTE network coverage
Spanish mobile network operator Yoigo has extended its 4G network footprint to 10 more provinces – Granada, Lleida, Huesca, Melilla, Orense, Teruel, Jaen, La Rioja, Cantabria and Valladolid – Telegeography reports. The operator said that all municipalities with more than 70,000 inhabitants in these provinces were covered by its LTE infrastructure after the latest phase of its network rollout.
It launched LTE commercially in mid-July 2013 and already offered its 4G services in 27 provinces before the expansion. It aims to offer 4G in all cities with more than 70,000 inhabitants by the end of the first quarter this year.
