Asus smartwatch may use voice, gesture commands
Asus, the Taiwanese computer hardware and electronics company, has plans for wearable devices with voice and gesture commands, techradar.com reports, citing its CEO, Jonney Shih, who said over the weekend that the company\'s first wearable device, assumed to be a smartwatch, will complement smartphones, providing alternative control methods.
In a related report, Shih said however that, "more breakthroughs are needed in these areas", then, added that Asus is addressing battery concerns and hopes to get its wearable device down to a tenth of the power consumption of smartphones.
It hasn\'t been confirmed that Asus is working on a smartwatch, but Shih was hinting as far back as last summer that the company has an interest in wearable devices.
