The Russian mobile operator Megafon reported a subscriber-base growth of 100,000, in the Urals, last year, to reach 5.8 million, Telecompaper reported on Friday and its corporate subscriber base growing by 4,600, or a growth of more than 50 percent. Last year, Megafon launched LTE services in the Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Perm, Yugra, Yamal-Nenets, and Chelyabinsk regions and the number of its GSM, 3G and LTE base stations increased 30 percent. It has 521 retail outlets in the Urals.
