Bouygues Telecom covers 69% of population with LTE

Bouygues Telecom, France’s third largest telecom operator in terms of subscribers, has announced that its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network now covers 69 percent of the French population, TeleGeography reports, with more than 6,100 active antennas in 2,527 towns.

Olivier Roussat, chairman and CEO of Bouygues Telecom, said: “As we promised at the launch of our 4G network, we [have] continued to expand our coverage very quickly and, at this stage, we are pleased to confirm that Bouygues Telecom remains the leading 4G operator in France. Our goal remains to provide our customers with a 4G coverage to match their increasing interest in mobile broadband”.
