Lithuanian mobile operator Omnitel has opened LTE services in several municipalities in Southern Lithuania, Telecompaper reports, namely in Alytus, Birstonas, Druskininkai, Varena, Salcininkai and Daugai. The operator\'s LTE network now covers an area which that inhabited includes 40 percent of the country\'s population. It provides services over smartphones, tablets, as well as via and LTE routers. The services are still inaccessible over Apple devices due to Apple\'s strict certification procedure.
