Vodafone NZ launches LTE in Rotorua
Vodafone New Zealand has added Rotorua to its LTE footprint, and claims to offer coverage of 94.8 percent of the city at launch, TeleGeography reports. Going forward, Vodafone’s 4G network will go live in Invercargill, Gisborne and Tauranga before the end of the month, and will be switched on in Napier, Hastings, Nelson, Dunedin and Whangarei by the end of April. Matt Williams, Vodafone’s consumer director, noted that the cellco’s LTE network currently covers 1.54 million people over 37 locations.
