Sprint CEO Dan Hesse this week revealed that the carrier plans to roll out HD Voice nationwide by July, pcmag.com reports citing Light Reading.

Hesse made the announcement during a Tuesday keynote speech at the Oracle Industry Connect conference in Boston.

HD Voice "is still the killer app," Hesse told conference attendees. It has "launched in a few markets," but Sprint intends to "launch in the entire country around the first of July," he said.

Sprint first rolled out HD Voice on the HTC EVO 4G LTE almost two years ago, with the promise of higher-quality phone calls.
