A special committee is likely to recommend that the government of Nepal keep the base price of 4G spectrum below NPR 12 million ($122,400) per MHz, Telecompaper.com writes, quoting The Himalayan Times.

Over the last three years, Nepal Telecom and Ncell have been asking Nepali Telecommunications Authorities to award spectrum for 4G mobile services. According to the report, the committee will also recommend the government award 3G and 4G spectrum within the next three months. The government expects to award spectrum for 4G in the 700-MHz, 3,300-MHz and 2,600-MHz bands.
