China Mobile looking to reach 100 m 4G subs by end of 2014
China Mobile is deploying TD-LTE networks around China and expects to have 100 million subscribers for its 4G mobile communication services, by the end of 2014, Digitimes.com reports, citing the China News Service (CNS).
China Mobile wants to set up 500,000 TD-LTE base stations, in 329 cities across China, in 2014, CNS indicated. With total spending expected to reach 230 billion yuan ($37.3 billion), China Mobile will complete more than one million TD-LTE base stations, in 2016, and expects the number of TD-LTE subscribers to grow to 256 million by then, CNS noted.
