MTS introduces LTE to Bashkortostan
The Russian mobile operator MTS has begun providing LTE services in the Bahkortostan republic, reports Comnews.ru, which continues by saying they are now available in the cities of Ufa, Sterlitamak, and Salavat, and the towns and villages of Taymazy, Dubki, Yulatovo, Zubovo, Fyodorovka and Mikhaylovka. The operator has not said how many LTE base stations it has in the area, but has over 14,000 LTE base stations across the country, according to a study from iKS-Consulting.
