Sprint has announced plans to provide a new Kyocera Hydro Vibe waterproof LTE smartphone, on May 9, reports Telecompaper.com, noting that Virgin Mobile US will join the device offer, without contract, as of May 27.

The Kyocera Hydro Vibe runs on Android 4.3 and comes with a 4.5-inch qHD capacitive, impact-resistant touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel back camera with LED flash and video, a 2-megapixel front camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1.2-GHz quad-core CPU, a 2,000 mAh battery, 8-GB of memory expandable to 32FB with microSD, and Near Field Communication (NFC) and wireless charging (PMA) capability.
