Russian mobile operator MTS has started commercial operations of its LTE network in the Belgorod region, reports Telecompaper.com quoting Cnews.ru. The whole of the city of Belgorod has been covered by the network, as well as the town of Stary-Oskol,  with services available at up to 75 Mbps there.

MTS plans to double the amount of LTE base stations in the region this year, extending coverage in Belgorod and Stary-Oskol, and providing 4G services in Alekseyevka, Valuyki, Gubkin, Shebekino and other agglomerations.
