Sprint, nTelos strike new LTE network alliance through 2022

2014-05-26 15:03:21| Source:

Sprint and its wholesale partner, nTelos Wireless, have changed a wholesale agreement to give each other access to their respective LTE networks through 2022, reports Fiercewireless.com, which notes that the deal is Sprint’s first significant one with a smaller carrier, since announcing partnerships in March with the Competitive Carriers Association and the NetAmerica Alliance to expand LTE roaming.

Under the revised terms, nTelos will continue as exclusive network provider for Sprint services in western Virginia and West Virginia areas, covering around 2.1 million POPs. Sprint customers will have access to nTelos\'s recently started LTE network, while nTelos will have access to Sprint\'s 800-MHz, 1,900-MHz and 2.5-GHz spectrum across the territory. In addition, nTelos retail customers will have access to Sprint\'s nationwide LTE network outside the nTelos network footprint.
