Time dotcom revenues jump 10% in Q1

Malaysian fixed-line operator Time dotcom reported first quarter results, with revenues reaching 131.9 million Malaysian ringgit ($41 million), up 10 percent from the year before, excluding non-recurring revenues from one-off contracts and global bandwidth sales, while pre-tax profit (PBT) surged 28 percent to 31.8 million Malaysian ringgit, Telecompaper.com reported on Tuesday, quoting CEO Afzal Abdul Rahim as saying that the results were driven by demand for faster connectivity.

For the full year, the company expects earnings growth to continue with the strong demand for higher speed bandwidth and mobile node fiberisation requirements by mobile operators. The rollout of LTE networks is expected to bring in more avenues for growth.
