Omnitel network upgrade almost complete
Omnitel, Lithuania’s largest mobile operator by subscribers has announced that it has upgraded around 90 percent of its wireless network, in an extensive modernization project that began in 2011, reports Telegeography.com. When it is completed this ummer, the TeliaSonera-owned company’s 3.5G network will be available across the country (current coverage is around 97.2 percent), while the 4G LTE reach is also being increased. It currently covers 40 percent of the population.
