T-Mobile Poland prepares for LTE launch

T-Mobile Poland, the former Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), has announced that it will be introducing 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services, today, Telegeography.com reported on Wednesday, quoting Telecompaper, which said the new offerings will come under the “Jump” brand, with prices starting at PLN39.99 ($13) for a SIM-only option, and going to PLN149.99 for a monthly package that includes unlimited voice calls and mobile data roaming.

The operator claims that half the smartphones it offers are already LTE-enabled and that its 4G network already covers 45 percent of the population and is expected to pass the 50-percent mark by the end of this month. Meanwhile, T-Mobile has also announced that it is partnering with the national TV broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) to let 4G customers stream live matches from the football World Cup which begins in Brazil next week.
