AG-Placid picks Tazca for Nigerian LTE rollout
The Nigerian network company AG-Placid will use Tazca Connects ‘LTE-as-a-Service’ for its wireless network in the cities of Calabar, Gombe and Lafia, to expand broadband access to businesses, the government, hospitals, schools and individuals, Telegeography.com reports, while adding that the Tazca Connects high-speed Internet service will be powered by an LTE software platform from the Lemko Corp, bringing cost-effective 4G LTE connectivity to Nigeria.
The LTE fixed-wireless broadband service will have advanced features on a virtualized software platform at each cell site, directly connecting to the cloud, for lower up-front capital and operational costs.
