Colombian mobile telephony operator Tigo plans to begin 4G service in the city of Neiva, in the Huila department by the end of this year, Telecompaper.com reports, quoting La Nación. The operator now provides 4G services in the cities of Bogota, Bucaramanga, Medellin, Cali and Barranquilla.

Tigo is working on increasing LTE coverage in the country, with the goal of reaching 250,000 to 300,000 high speed Internet users, by the end of 2014.
