UK mobile network operator EE has included another 14 towns ‘in all four corners of the UK’ onto its 4G network map, Telegeography.com reports. In announcing the coverage development, the operator confirmed that the expansion will mean it now offers LTE-based services in 229 large towns and cities across the country.

The locations where coverage will be added are: Mansfield, Swinton, Jarrow, Kirkby, Wishaw, Ilkeston, Castleford, Walton-On-Thames, Totton, Carrickfergus, Newton Abbot, Wimborne Minster, Ramsbottom and Dumbarton.

EE announced last week that it was investing 275 million pounds ($540 million) in extending the reach of its voice services, using innovative 4G and Wi-Fi calling, and upgrading 2G and 3G equipment, with a specific focus on rural areas.
