South Korean telecommunications operator SK Telecom has introduced a close-circuit TV security service using LTE wireless network for farmers, fish farm operators and country home residents, reports Telecompaper.com on July 3, 2014.

SK Telecom has made available a "Point Cam LTE" close-circuit TV security service that combines a close-circuit TV with an LTE data amplifier, Korea Bizwire reports. The new Point Cam LTE product leverages SK Telecom\'s LTE technology and can detect moving objects through its heat sensor. It can also send alarms to the user\'s smartphone. SK Telecom offers the service for a fixed monthly subscription. The service also includes a theft insurance policy of up to 100 million won and a fire insurance policy in case of damage.
