Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has started providing its LTE services on the 2,600 MHz band in the Oryol region, Telecompaper.com reports on July 4, 2014. LTE services are available in the city of Oryol and town of Livny for 90 percent of residents at average speeds of 10-25 Mbps and a maximum speed of 70 Mbps. The operator offers the Alcatel Onetouch Idol 2 Mini S smartphone supporting LTE for a special price of 7,990 rubles and a LTE modem for 1,299 rubles in its shops in Oryol and Livny. Beeline also plans to start LTE services in the city of Tambov soon.
