Warid to launch 4G LTE by Sept, invests $400 million
Pakistani operator Warid Telecom plans to invest around $400 million over the next 12 months in the deployment of LTE technology, Telecompaper.com reported on July 5, 2014. The operator plans to upgrade 70 percent of its urban network to 4G mobile technology by the end of 2014. Warid has selected Ericsson as equipment provider for its 4G LTE deployment. Warid intends to commercially launch 4G services in Pakistan by September.
