Orange Slovakia launched LTE Internet on July 7 with maximum speeds of 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, Telecompaper.com wrote on July 7, 2014. All customers using any data package from Orange can use the LTE network automatically without any additional fees. LTE is now available in Bratislava, Banska Bystrica and Kosice, representing 15 percent of the population. By the end of the year, the operator plans to cover 24 cities and 30 percent of the population with LTE.

LTE Internet is now available for 80,000 customers, the estimated number of devices with LTE support on the Orange network. Currently, LTE networks allow a maximum speed of 70 Mbps in the 800 MHz band (using 2x10 MHz) and 150 Mbps in the 1,800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands (using two blocks of 20 MHz).
