French LTE chipset maker Sequans has appointed Orange\'s Executive Vice President of Connected Objects, Yves Maitre, to its board of directors, reported Telecompaper.com on July 10, 2014. Maitre is responsible for Orange\'s connected objects portfolio as it related to the Internet of Things, forging relationships with manufacturers and major industry players, developing embedded software, and marketing worldwide. Before joining Orange, he spent six years at consumer electronics company Thomson as president of its subsidiary Key MRO America. He has also served as COO of 3M’sQuante-Pouyet branch.
