Colombian mobile telephone operator Movistar already provides 4G LTE services in 74 municipalities across the country, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 4, 2014. The operator said that its LTE service reaches 73 percent of Colombia\'s population. Movistar Colombia expects to increase LTE coverage to 313 municipalities in 2018. The telecoms operator had initially launched 4G LTE in Colombia in December 2013. Movistar Colombia is fully owned by Spanish telecoms operator Telefonica.
