TIM announced that its LTE “Ultra Internet 4G” service covers 25 municipalities in both the central Abruzzo region and its southern neighbor Molise as of the beginning of August, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 8, 2014. The service offers theoretical maximum speeds of 100 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads.

TIM\'s LTE network covered 1,138 municipalities across Italy at the beginning of August, up from the 651 announced in February. The company expects to cover all cities with over 35,000 inhabitants by the end of 2014.
