Bite Lithuania to invest LTL 172 mln in LTE-A network
Mobile operator Bite Lithuania has launched its LTE-Advanced network at the Baltic Sea coastal resorts of Palanga and Nida, with LTE-Advanced Wi-Fi hot spots installed at numerous restaurants, Telecompaper.com reported on Aug 10, 2014. The operator plans to invest LTL 172 million ($66.75 million) in the expansion and upgrade of its network over the next few years. Networks will be launched in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys by the end of March 2015. The operator also plans to expand its portfolio of LTE-A-supporting end-user devices at its branded shops.
