NTT DOCOMO has chosen Gemalto, a digital security company, for its mobile near field communication (NFC) services, Telegeography.com writes, noting that Gemalto will supply Japan’s leading mobile operator with an end-to-end solution built around its Allynis Trusted Service Management (TSM) service and UpTeq NFC UICC embedding solution for both SIM and contactless applications. Gemalto says the NFC service launch will deliver a variety of contactless services encompassing mobile payments, loyalty programs, e-ticketing and access control.
