Bolivian state-owned telecoms operator Entel expects total investments in the Cochabamba department in 2014 to reach BOB 294, reported Telecompaper.com on Sept 15, 2014. According to the report, this investment will enable the operator to deploy additional mobile stations, expand fiber optic networks, as well as to expand 4G LTE services in the department. Entel also plans to deploy more telecenters for the provision of telecoms services in rural and isolated areas through the country\'s TKSAT-1 (Tupac Katari) satellite. The Telco has already installed 116 satellite telecenters across Cochabamba. Entel currently has a market share of 42 percent in the department, according to the report.
